Hey there, folks. I don’t have a big revelation to share with you today because I wanted to point out a verse that really made me smile.
Deuteronomy 24: 5 When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army or be given any business or work duties. He gets one year off simply to be at home making his wife happy.
My wedding anniversary is coming up in December and this, I think, was a little wink from the Lord. We may not have had a year off in the beginning, but I have been blessed with such a man. My husband spends most of his life making me happy. It’s a goal of his and I am happy to say that he meets that goal often.
I just wanted to share that with all of you. Ladies, if you do have a husband like mine, comment. Give him a shout out. He deserves it. If you are not blessed to have this yet, then I will pray that you will find it.

My husband does the best that he can to minister to me. I know that he loves me because he does all that he can for me!
There are some difficult passages in today’s reading in light of today’s culture. I ask the Lord, “What if a woman finds indecency in her husband? in response to Deuteronomy 24:1.
“When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a bill of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house,…”
Even many of these verses don’t fit with our current culture, the underlying character traits are endless…integrity, honesty, just judgement, generosity, kindness, mercy, purity, fairness, single-hearted devotion to God, etc.
Lord, teach and empower us to exhibit the behavior that pleases Your heart! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
