Blacklisted from the town, Jeremiah begins sending in the Word of the Lord on scrolls because God says, “Maybe, just maybe they’ll get it this time!”
It’s been a long road. Nobody listened, but God gave Jeremiah a promise:
“Attack you they will, overcome you, they can’t.”
(1:5; 13:17; 20:11)
His ministry spanned five kings, beatings, imprisonments, death threats and scads of opposition yet He continued. He did what God asked him to do when it was uncomfortable and unfashionable. He kept going, even though they might not ever listen, he kept going.
I don’t know about you, but today, I needed that.
