Psalm 8 captures something I say to the Lord a lot:

3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; 4 What is man that You take thought of him…

Why does He love us so much? We mess up constantly and still we’re His “Plan A,” we’re His “First String.” Amazing. Simply amazing. If I were the coach, I wouldn’t even tell me to suit up, but God? God throws me on the field with a gleam in His eye. See, he’s smiling because He knows something that we forget: we’re playing with His ability, not ours.

If I could get that. If we could get that. How much more fun would the game be? 😉

It’s not surprising to think that reading these psalms (songs) my heart starts singing. “In Me” by the band Casting Crowns has a great line:

How refreshing to know You don’t need me
How amazing to find that you want me

His love amazes me, but I’m so glad tat it’s there, aren’t you? What would I be without Him?

Here’s the song, in case you wanted to hear the rest of it. 🙂

See you on the field.
