Leviticus 16:11 Then Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering which is for himself and make atonement for himself and for his household, and he shall slaughter the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

Aaron was not only in charge of helping the nation of Israel atone for their sins, but he was also responsible for making atonement for the his sins and the sins of his family. That’s a big responsibility. It’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of blood.

Reading though more of the sacrifices needed to make these sojourners right with God makes me so thankful for our Jesus. We don’t need to do all of this. We need only to believe on Him because He already atoned for our sins. He was both the priest and the sacrifice, so we don’t need to do a thing.

I’ve been listening to this song for two weeks straight. I can’t get it out of my head and I won’t get it off my iPod. Please listen to it because the response from the Lord is life giving.
